Classic Adventure Safari

DAY 1: NAIROBI/AMBOSELI

Depart Nairobi Wilson Airport at 0730hrs for your 50 minute flight into the heart of the Amboseli Game Reserve located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.

After lunch enjoy a game drive in Park that will give you opportunity to see thousands of elephants and other animals as well as birds.

Overnight Tortilis Camp

Tortilis Camp TORTILIS CAMP: This award-winning eco tourism lodge is located just outside the Amboseli National Park in the shade of a dense natural forest of Acacia Tortilis, from which it takes its name.

Extremely comfortable and yet retaining a 'rustic' atmosphere, the camp is situated on a private concession of 20,000 hectares in a position offering spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro The camp is a point of departure for safaris and explorations of the surrounding natural environment in Land Rovers or on foot and visits are also organized to the local Masai villages.

DAY 2: AMBOSELI GAME RESERVE

Today enjoy morning and afternoon game drives at Amboseli National Park.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL RESERVE was opened to visitors in 1948 and is located 135 km from Nairobi. It has been designated as an international biosphere reserve and covers an area of 392 square kilometers.

These streams flow underground, creating lush green areas, and converge at two clear water springs in the park. Visitors mainly come to watch the huge herds of elephants and get the best views of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro.

Wildlife here includes the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cat, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, wild dog, and hippo. There are also over 400 species of birds, including the bee-eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle, marital eagle and pygmy falcon.

Overnight Tortilis Camp

DAY 3: AMBOSELI/NAIROBI/MERU

Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for scheduled flight to Nairobi. Connect flight to Meru National Park. Transfer to Elsa Kopje for check in. Lunch & afternoon game drive.

Overnight Elsa Kopje Camp

Elsa Kopje Camp ELSA'S KOPJE is set in the untamed wilderness of Meru National Park. Named after the Elsa the lioness of 'Born Free' fame, the lodge is invisible to the eye as you approach the kopje.

Regular sightings include Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Elephant, Grevy's Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Lesser Kudu, Grant's Gazelle, Leopard, Lion, Cheetah, Rhino and the rare, elusive Greater Kudu. Meru is also famous for its bird life and day excursions can be taken to the Tana River.

DAY 4: MERU NATIONAL PARK

Morning and afternoon game drives in Meru National Park. Meru National Park straddles the equator and is bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams.

It has diverse scenery from woodlands to wide-open plains, meandering riverbanks, hilly landscapes and rich grey aluvial volcanic soil deposits.

DAY 5: MERU/MAASAI MARA

Early morning game drive then breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for direct flight to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Transfer to Little Governors Camp for check in. Lunch & afternoon game drive.

Overnight Little Governors Camp

Little Governor's Camp LITTLE GOVERNOR'S CAMP: is an intimate camp set in such a tranquil and secluded spot, that it can only be reached by boat transfer across the Mara River, followed by a short escorted walk through the forest.

Go on game drives in open vehicles, guided game walks or balloon safaris over the wide plains of the Maasai Mara. The area is home to Africa's 'Big 5', as well as cheetah, crocodile, topi and giraffe.

DAY 6: MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Full day Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives.

MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE - is the "new eighth wonder of the natural world" and Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary.

The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Game drives in the Mara offer breathtaking views of an extraordinary density of animals including all the big five and many varieties of plains game as well as thousands of birds of prey.

DAY 7: MAASAI MARA/NAIROBI

Early morning game drive. Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for SAFARILINK flight to Nairobi departing 1100hrs and arriving Nairobi around 1215hrs at the end of your safari.
