Classic Wilderness Safari

DAY 1: NAIROBI/MERU

Depart Nairobi Wilson Airport at 0730hrs for your 50 minute flight into the heart of Meru National Park. You'll be met at the airstrip by your safari guide from the camp and transferred to Elsa Kopje for check in. Lunch and afternoon game drive.

Overnight Elsa Kopje

Elsa Kopje Camp ELSA KOPJE is set in the untamed wilderness of Meru National Park. Named after the Elsa the lioness of 'Born Free' fame, the lodge is invisible to the eye as you approach the kopje.

The infinity pool overlooks the Meru plains. Activities available here include game drives in 4-wheel drive vehicles, night game drives and guided bush walks.

DAY 2: MERU NATIONAL PARK

Today enjoy morning and afternoon game drives at Meru National Park.

MERU NATIONAL PARK straddles the equator and is bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams. The park is wild and one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya.

Regular sightings include Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Elephant, Grevy's Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Lesser Kudu, Grant's Gazelle, Leopard, Lion, Cheetah, Rhino and the rare, elusive Greater Kudu. Meru is also famous for its bird life and day excursions can be taken to the Tana River.

DAY 3: MERU/LEWA DOWNS

Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for scheduled flight to Lewa Downs Conservancy. You'll be met at the airstrip by your safari guide and transferred to Lewa Wilderness Trails for check in. Lunch and afternoon game drive.

Overnight Lewa Wilderness Trails

Lewa Wilderness Trails LEWA WILDERNESS TRAILS: With Mount Kenya in the background, Lewa Wilderness is beautifully situated on the edge of the wildlife rich Lewa Conservancy. The welcoming and characterful home of Will and Emma Craig, Lewa is known for its hospitality and warmth - a place where guests can truly relax amidst nature and natural beauty.

With just eight beautifully and tastefully decorated cottages, featuring fireplaces and verandas, Lewa Wilderness Trails offers guests the experience of days gone by. Every detail has been thought of to ensure that guests at Lewa can make the most of their time in the bush.

DAY 4: LEWA DOWNS

Today enjoy game drives in this world famous Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. LEWA WILDLIFE CONSERVANCY: Lewa Conservancy is a private game sanctuary in the Northern district of Kenya. This is an area of open plains, long, waving yellow-gray grasses and gently rolling hills, rising in the distance. Lewa is one of Kenya's major private conservation successes located at the foot of Mount Kenya. Endangered species abound in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy; most famous around the world is Rhino Conservation Project.

DAY 5: LEWA/MAASAI MARA

Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. You'll be met at the airstrip by your safari guide and transferred to camp for check in. Lunch and afternoon game drive.

Overnight Richards Camp

Richards Camp RICHARDS CAMP is situated in a conservation area North West of The Masai Mara Game Reserve. With riverine forest and short grass plains, this area is renowned for the most exceptional big game viewing worldwide.

Each of the six spacious tents has proper beds, simple safari furniture and en-suite bathroom with chairs at the front of the tent where you can relax and admire the wonderful views across the Mara plains.

DAY 6: MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Full day Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives.

MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE - Maasai Mara is the "new eighth wonder of the natural world" and Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary.

Game drives in the Mara offer breathtaking views of an extraordinary density of animals including all the big five and many varieties of plains game as well as thousands of birds of prey.

DAY 7: MAASAI MARA/NAIROBI

Early morning game drive. Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for SAFARILINK flight to Nairobi departing 1100hrs and arriving Nairobi around 1215hrs at the end of your safari.
