MANDA BAY is a small boutique and private lodge on Manda Island in Northern Kenya's Lamu / Kiwayu archipelago. Sixteen spacious cottages line the beach overlooking the calm waters of Manda Bay.

Surrounded by magnificent coral gardens, empty beaches and indigenous woodland, Manda Bay is a glorious destination for both active and leisurely holiday makers.

ROOM & SUITE TYPES: With all the cottages flawlessly designed and in keeping with local landscape, five of the rooms are set right along the seafront with the other rooms set in-between and slightly behind.

The availability of wonderful, fresh seafood and tropical fruit dictates most of the menus at Manda Bay, and is renowned for its delicious fresh from the sea dishes.

The Italian trained Swahili chef easily caters to the demands of children and those with special dietary requirements. All meals are informal and Dinner is usually served outside under the vast starry African sky among the rustling palms, making for romantic memorable dining.

Manda Bay offers guests a chance to relax and unwind from the pressures of the real world, but for the more adventurous type the variety of activities is abundant.

With regular sightings of Dolphins, turtles and the occasional Humpback whale the Marine life excels. Guests can enjoy safe snorkelling as well.
