Porini Equator Safari

DAY 1: NAIROBI/NANYUKI

Depart Wilson Airport by scheduled flight to Nanyuki arriving 1000hrs. Met at Nanyuki Airstrip and by your Safari guide in 4x4 safari vehicle and transferred to the camp for check in. After lunch enjoy afternoon game drive.

Overnight Porini Rhino Camp

PORINI RHINO CAMP is located in OL Pejeta Conservancy a 90,000 acre wildlife conservancy situated between the foot hills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snowcapped Mount Kenya.

Guided walks are taken on the open plains escorted by Maasai warriors. Night drives are also taken to see the nocturnal animals. All the Big Five have been seen on game drives from the camp.

DAY 2: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY

Full day OL Pejeta Conservancy with morning and afternoon game drives. OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY is a 90,000 acre wildlife conservancy situated between the foot hills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snowcapped Mount Kenya. OL Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals including the non-indigenous chimpanzees and the big 5 (the endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion).

The sole objective of the sanctuary is to provide a safe, secure and permanent refuge for theses chimpanzees in an environment that is as natural as possible.

The Rhino Sanctuary In response to the drastic reduction in rhino numbers through poaching, Kenya decided to set up specially protected and fenced sanctuaries for rhino conservation.

Twenty-two black rhinos were introduced into Sweetwater's from other sanctuaries between 1989 and 1993.

Overnight Porini Rhino Camp

PORINI LION CAMP with 10 luxury guest tents the camp is very exclusive and giving you a real in the bush experience. The tents are very spacious and have private verandahs along the length of the tent, providing a secluded and private 'space' for you to relax and enjoy the beauty of this African wilderness.

At camp guests enjoy morning, evening and night game drives in custom built 4x4's, sundowners at scenic viewing points, from where you can enjoy a drink watching the sun set over the Mara.

DAY 3: NANYUKI/MAASAI MARA

Breakfast and transfer to Nanyuki Airstrip for the scheduled flight to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. You will be met at the airstrip by safari guide in 4x4 safari vehicle and transferred to the camp for check in. After lunch proceed for game drive in the OLARE OROK CONSERVANCY

OLARE OROK CONSERVANCY is an exclusive and expansive 20,000 acre conservancy, which borders the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. It is home to an abundance of animals including the Big Cats for which the Mara is famous for.

DAY 4: MAASAI MARA

Today enjoy full day game drive with picnic lunch in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE - Maasai Mara is the "new eighth wonder of the natural world" and Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. It is situated in the northern tip of the Serengeti National Park and just west of the Great Rift Valley.

Game drives in the Mara offer breathtaking views of an extraordinary density of animals including all the big five and many varieties of plains game as well as thousands of birds of prey.
