Rwanda Gorilla Safari from Nairobi
DAY 1: NAIROBI/KIGALI
Early breakfast before departing for Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, to catch flight to Kigali, Rwanda. An hour flight to Kigali. On arrival clients will be met by driver and private vehicle and driven to Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. The roads are good and the journey to Ruhengeri will take approximately two hours.On arrival a late lunch will be served in the main lodge, with its scenic vistas of the Virunga Volcanoes, of the Parc National des Volcans. Afternoon at leisure to settle in and acclimatize and perhaps an afternoon guided bird walk in the surrounds of the lodge.

MOUNTAIN GORILLA VIEW LODGE: Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is a new lodge situated in the foothills of the inactive Sabyinyo volcanic Mountain, one of the most impressive of the five volcanoes visible from the site in the Northern Part of "The Land of a Thousand Hills" Rwanda (Approximately 1 kilometer from the Park boundary).
It is only minutes away from the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters (App. 3 kilometers from the main entrance to the Park).
It is a 2 hours comfortable drive from central Kigali.
Mountain Gorilla View Lodge guarantees you to discover an intimate and intense exciting experience from it's expertise in terms of the service, variety of tasty meals and not forgetting nature on the slopes of the volcanoes down to the agricultural lowlands.
Their bathrooms are well equipped with towels (including hand and face towels), bath carpets, hair drier, shampoo and soap with company logo.
All cottages have magnificent view of all the volcanoes, have privacy and offer a unique opportunity to close viewing of the natural habitat.
DAY 2: GORILLA TREK
An early breakfast, served in the lodge, before departing by road to the Parc National des Volcans headquarters. Here you will be allocated to a guide for one of the habituated Mountain Gorilla families and a safety briefing. You will then be taken by vehicle to a starting point, to commence your gorilla trek in the forest.
The amount of time spent walking is dependant upon which family of Gorillas you are allocated to and where they are to be found on that day.
After this phenomenal wildlife experience, return to your vehicle on the edge of the forest, returning to Mountain Gorilla View lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 3: GORILLA TREK & LAKE KIVU
Early morning breakfast prior to departing for your second gorilla trek, with the possibility of visiting a different Gorilla family. Return to Mountain Gorilla View lodge for lunch. This afternoon drive to Lake Kivu arriving in the evening.Dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu Serena Lodge
LAKE KIVU SERENA LODGE
Lake Kivu Serena Hotel is located in the Rwandan resort town of Gisenyi, on the shores of Lake Kivu, the sixth largest lake in Africa.
The hotel is ideally situated on a sandy beach, with the nearby Virunga Volcanoes providing a spectacular backdrop on one side and a panoramic view of the lake on the other.
DAY 4: KIGALI/NAIROBI
Depart Lake Kivu for Kigali in time for your return flight to Nairobi.
