Wildlife Discovery Trail

DAY 1: NAIROBI/NAIVASHA

Depart Nairobi for the Great Rift Valley arriving for lunch at Sunbird Lodge on the shores of Lake Elementaita. This afternoon enjoy boat ride to see birdlife on Lake Naivasha and a walk with antelopes and giraffe on the Crescent Island.

Dinner & overnight at Sunbird Lodge

Sunbird Lodge Sunbird Lodge is set on 55 acres of private land on the shores of Lake Elementaita. It is named after one of the more than 450 species of birds found in this area. Perfect for a african wildlife safari.

Enjoy an unspoilt views over Lake Elementaita and Soysambu Conservancy. The lodge's experienced chefs prepare mouth watering meals and two fire places will keep guests warm and spreads a romantic atmosphere.

DAY 2: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for full day game drive with picnic lunch. LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK is a small, shallow, alkaline-saline lake located in a closed basin without outlets in the Eastern Rift Valley.

Nakuru has more than just flamingos. It is a major National Park and an important sanctuary for Rhino. Both Black and White Rhino are found here, and are often seen resting under acacias by the Lake shore.

Exploring beyond the lake is always rewarding and there are forests, cliffs, waterfalls and more to be found here. In the afternoon return to Lake Elementaita.

Overnight Sunbird Lodge

Kicheche Laikipia Camp

DAY 3: NAIVASHA/LAIKIPIA

Breakfast and drive to Laikipia arriving on time for lunch at Kicheche Laikipia Camp. Afternoon game drive in OL Pejeta Conservancy.

Overnight Kicheche Laikipia Camp

Kicheche Laikipia Camp is a small luxurious tented camp, nestled at the foot of indigenous forest overlooking a waterhole, in the centre of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The camp consists of six luxurious tents.

DAY 4: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY

This day is spend exploring the massive OL Pejeta Conservancy. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is 90,000 acres of wilderness and offers an incredibly uncrowded environment to enjoy quality game viewing.

Visits to the Rhino and Chimpanzee Sanctuaries can also be included.

DAY 5: LAIKIPIA/SAMBURU

After breakfast, transfer to Nanyuki Airstrip for scheduled flight to Samburu Game Reserve. On arrival, you will be met by your driver guide in 4x4 safari vehicle and transferred to Sasaab Camp for check in. This afternoon enjoy game drive in the conservation area.

Dinner and overnight Sasaab Lodge

Sasaab Lodge Sasaab is perched above the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, capturing panoramic views across the culturally rich Samburu land, Laikipia plateau and Mathews Range. Located in northern Kenya, the lodge is built on Samburu community land and part of Ngutuk-Ongiron Group Ranch using locally sourced materials and with an exciting Moroccan influence.

The novel "souk" style mess provides a warm and friendly atmosphere. Meals are prepared with the finest fresh ingredients and served in the privacy of various different areas of the "souk" or can be al fresco under the stars!

DAY 6: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

Today enjoy game drives in Samburu Game Reserve.

SAMBURU GAME RESERVE is a rugged semi-arid park in the Northern Frontier District of Kenya. The Uaso Nyiro river is the lifeline and the nerve center of this reserve and is bustling with a huge population of crocodiles.

The park has an abundant species of birds and is considered by Ornithologists a paradise for bird viewing.

Dinner & overnight Sasaab Lodge

DAY 7: SAMBURU/NAIROBI

Morning game drive in the conservation area. Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi arriving Wilson Airport 1315hrs at the end of your safari.
